PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-permeable bulky nonwoven fabric and an air-permeable bulky nonwoven filter each with high oil-catching efficiency, and to provide a method for producing them. SOLUTION: The bulky nonwoven fabric and the nonwoven filter (1) using the same are each such as to be constituted of a nonwoven fabric where at least part of constituent fibers are mutually fixed with a resin; wherein the constituent fibers include viscose rayon staple fibers A (2), which are each 40-160 dtex in fineness, crimped, indefinite in cross-sectional shape and have narrow portions, and the constituent fibers are formed of the staple fibers A (2) singly or by blending the staple fibers A (2) with viscose rayon staple fibers A (3) each less than 40 dtex in fineness. Thereby, the objective air-permeable bulky nonwoven fabric and the air-permeable bulky nonwoven filter, with wide fiber surface area and high oil-catching efficiency, can be obtained.
