摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict quick change of vehicle behavior characteristics without using complicated control when one active steering means has abnormality in a four-wheel active steering system. SOLUTION: The four-wheel active steering system is provided with a front wheel side active steering means to provide an assist steering angle to front wheels, a rear wheel side active steering means to provide an assist steering angle to rear wheels, and a four-wheel active steering control means to output an assist steering command to both active steering means based on control rules to provide assist steering angles to make desired vehicle behavior characteristics based on base vehicle behavior characteristics. When abnormality is detected in either one of the active steering means, the active steering means of which abnormality is detected is stopped, and continuity or stoppage of the other active steering means that is normal is selected in such a way as to reduce characteristic difference from the desired vehicle behavior characteristics.
