The method involves producing a drive signal for opening and/or closing a vehicle roof arrangement based on the acquired vehicle acceleration e.g. lateral or longitudinal acceleration, as well as the control instructions from the driver. Opening/closing of the roof arrangement is interrupted when judged that the vehicle runs on curves or on bad roads or other critical drive conditions e.g. high dynamic loads, based on the drive signal. An independent claim is also included for a convertible roof arrangement for a vehicle.
