<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat for care, wherein caring is easy by simplifying its structure and making it simple and easy to install the mat when using, so as to reduce a burden of caring behaviors. <P>SOLUTION: The mat 1 for care is obtained by installing a shape-keeping substrate 3 having shape-keeping property on the lower surface of a mat main body 2 composed of an air-tight bag 2a whose shape can be varied into a plane state or a solid state. The mat 1 is inserted under the body of a care receiver being a body to be placed, and the inside of the bag 2a is filled with a fluid such as air to be swollen to vary the shape of the main body 2 from the plane state to the solid state. Thus, a part of the body of the care receiver placed on the upper surface of the mat main body 2 is pressed up to form a space under the body of the care receiver.
