PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply amount adjusting method of sludge solid in a sludge dehydrator capable of sufficiently developing the original capacity of the sludge dehydrator corresponding to even to a sudden change in the concentrations of various sludge different in properties set to dehydration targets by one kind of a sludge concentration sensor without causing flocculation failure, and an adjusting apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: Sludge is transferred into a sludge relay tank 3 from a sludge storage tank 2 by a sludge transfer pump 4, the concentration of the sludge uniformed by the sludge stirring pump 7 in the sludge relay tank 3 is measured by a concentration sensor 8, the supply amount of the sludge solid supplied into a flocculant mixing tank 10 from the sludge relay tank 3 by a sludge supply pump 9 is measured by a flowmeter 11, the fluctuation of the liquid level in the flocculant mixing tank 10 is measured by a water level meter 20b, the frequency obtained by the arithmetic means 16 of a control panel 15 based on these measured valves is outputted to inverters 17a and 17b for controlling the number of rotations of the sludge supply pump 9 and that of the sludge dehydrator 1 and those numbers of rotation are controlled to supply the sludge is supplied to the sludge dehydrator 1 through the flocculation mixing tank 10 so that the supply amount of the sludge solid per unit time becomes constant.
