<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of suppressing temperature increase of a liquid crystal display element even when a high luminance light emission light source is used. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus 20 is provided with the liquid crystal display element 26 having a liquid crystal cell wherein a liquid crystal is encapsulated between a pair of light transmissive substrates, a light source (light emitting diode) 22 disposed at the rear of the liquid crystal display element 26 and irradiating the liquid crystal display element 26 with white illumination light and a filter (trimming filter) 25 disposed between the liquid crystal display element 26 and the light source 22 and having ≤50% light transmittance in a prescribed wavelength region showing a color which is not used for display in the three primary colors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
