<p>The shoe has rapid fasteners (26a,26b) integrated into each stitched part (14a,14b) at the end nearest the open top of the uppers so the lace (20) moves through low-friction lace holes (22) when pulled in the closing direction and is held closed by the fasteners until released by element (28). The two fasteners face over a slot (16) parting the two parts (14a,14b) and the lace has a loop (24) at the end between fasteners. The lace is pressed by a spring loaded piston in the fastener onto a flexibly nosed seating surface.</p> |
