PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear side viewing system capable of easily recognizing a vehicle traveling on an adjacent lane, which is positioned on the rear side part of a present vehicle. SOLUTION: The rear side viewing system 100 comprises a camera 1 having a visual field in the rear side part of the vehicle, a display 4 for displaying images, a judgement part 2 for judging whether or not the state of the vehicle satisfies a prescribed condition, and a switching part 3 for switching the image displayed on the display 4 from the other image to a rear side image imaged by the camera 1 in the case of judging that the prescribed condition is satisfied by the judgement part 2. Thus, a driver can view the rear side part of the present vehicle by the display 4. As a result, since information relating to the dead angle of the present vehicle is appropriately compensated, it becomes easy to recognize the vehicle traveling on the adjacent lane.
