PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet separating/feeding device recovering frictional force of a separation roller without cleaning and replacing the separation roller. SOLUTION: A rotating bracket 51 is provided below the separation roller 12a so as to be rotatable around a fulcrum 52. A grinding member 53 is mounted to one end part of the rotating bracket 51, and a solenoid 54 is mounted to the other end part. When a current is carried to the solenoid 54, the rotating bracket 51 is rotated around the fulcrum 52 and the grinding member 53 is made contact with the separation roller 12a. While contacting the separation roller 12a, the grinding member 53 rotates and grinds the separation roller 12a. When the current carrying to the solenoid 54 is stopped, the rotating bracket 51 is rotated around the fulcrum 52 by a spring 56 and the grinding member 53 is separated from the separation roller 12a.
