PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly search and reproduce desired data from a number of data by changing a searching speed of a plurality of the data memorized in a memory means according to an operating speed of an operation means. SOLUTION: The reproducing apparatus is equipped with: a semiconductor memory 9 for memorizing a plurality of the data; a reproducing section 20 for reproducing the data memorized in the semiconductor memory 9; a rotary operation member 61 for user operation; and a controller 30 having an operation speed detecting means for detecting the speed of the operation by the rotary operation member 61. The controller 30 controls the number of the searches of the data memorized in the semiconductor memory 9 on the basis of the speed of the operation of the rotary operation member 61 detected by the operation speed detecting means.
