PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device situated near a door full open position and forcing a safety shoe to retreat smoothly. SOLUTION: The elevator device is equipped with a roller 15 provided on the safety shoe 10, a bracket 13 installed separately from an elevator door 1 and having an inclined surface with which the roller 15 may be in sliding contact, and a second detector 14 operated by a cam 16 disposed parallel with the inclined surface for detecting forced retreat of the safety shoe 10. The inclined surface of the bracket 13 is used to cause forced retreat motion of the safety shoe 10 and an inclined surface of the cam 16 is used to cause detection operation of the second detector 14 for detecting the forced retreat of the safety shoe 10.
