A keypad (16) for an electronic device (10) comprises a body having first and second opposing surfaces. The first surface has at least one touchpad extending therefrom, and the body has a recess therein. An elastomeric connector (12) is disposed within the recess. The body has a dispensing well that is open to the recess. The dispensing well is configured to receive a binding agent to bond to each of the body and the elastomeric connector (12) for retaining the elastomeric connector (12) within the recess.
