A printing management device and a printing management method thereof are provided to prevent waste of expensive supplies by displaying a warning message for asking printing of a text document when a dye sublimation printer, consisting of TPH(Thermal Print Head) and a ribbon film, prints the text document which is not an image document. An image forming device driver(135) displays the warning message through a display device(150) in case of the text document by determining whether the document to be printed is the image or text document. The display device displays the warning message for asking the printing for the text document in the case that the document to be printed is the text document. An interface(140) transfers the document to be printed to the dye sublimation printer(200).
