<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character display device for confirming the whole of input characters before character conversions and for converting and fixing the input characters into an intended character string even if characters of the limited number or more have been inputted, when characters are inputted onto a display part where the number of characters possible to be displayed is limited. <P>SOLUTION: A character display device 1 comprises a key input part 13; an input character memory 14 storing input characters which have been input; a character conversion part 18 performing character conversions of the input characters; a fixed character memory 15 storing fixed characters; a display part 17a displaying the input characters and the fixed characters; the number of characters detection part 11 detecting the number of characters; a clocking part 12; and a control part 10 controlling the whole of the device 1. The control part 10 shifts to display the whole of the input characters onto the display part 17a when the detection part 11 detects the fact that the input characters before defining the character conversions protrude from the display space area of the display part 17a and the clocking part 12 clocks the lapse of a predetermined period after the last input of a character. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
