PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of aiming at the reduction of rolling resistance based on the vulcanization behavior of the rubber composition by obtaining a relationship of the vulcanization behavior and rolling resistance in the rubber composition. SOLUTION: This rubber composition containing 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber component containing≥40 pts.wt. styrene butadiene rubber, 0.5-5 pts.wt. sulfur, a vulcanization accelerator and carbon black having 60-120 m<SP>2</SP>/g nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N<SB>2</SB>SA) is characterized in that the 10% vulcanization time (t10) and 90% vulcanization time (t90) obtained from a vulcanization curve measured at 160°C satisfy both of the following conditions: (t90-t10)/t10≤1 and 2<t10.
