Synthesis of a porous and/or stratified structure manganese oxide consists in continuously and in a dosed quantity adding an active sufficiently water-soluble structuring amine which is stable with respect to the formed manganese oxide and/or an ammonia into an aqueous hydroxylic acid by stirring at a temperature ranging from 0 to 80 °C in such a way that a pH value of 8-13 is attained at a temperature of 25 °C, in subsequently preserving the obtained product, in passing an oxygen flow in the form of very small bubbles through said product in such a way that a predetermined oxydation potential is attained and subsequently maintained and in continuously and in a dosed quantity adding a Mn<SUP>2+</SUP>-solution in such a way that the porous manganese is precipitated. The manganese oxide is embodied in the form of a manganese (III)-manganese (IV)-oxide provided with predetermined oxidation degree, porosity and stratified structure. A device for carrying out said method is also disclosed. |
