PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a proper amount of a current from an internal step-down circuit in accordance with an amount of a current to be supplied necessary in each mode in a semiconductor having a plurality of operation modes. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device that operates in an operation mode selected from among three or more operation modes has a plurality of voltage supply circuits that supply internal voltages to the internal circuit of the semiconductor device, and a control circuit that drives different numbers of voltage supply circuits, respectively, for each of the three operation modes based on a signal indicative of the selected mode.
