<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a individual authenticating apparatus by which individual authenticating operation is carried out simply and speedily by simultaneously carrying out reading of fingerprint information and reading of personal information registered in advance in an IC chip without making a user feel insanitary. <P>SOLUTION: The individual authenticating apparatus consists of: an IC chip holder storing the personal information; an IC chip reader for reading the personal information in the IC chip without contacting while keeping the IC chip holder by a part of the fingers of the user; and a fingerprint reader for reading the fingerprint of a finger of the user without contacting at the same time of the reading operation of the IC chip reader. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
