SCHISANDRENE EXTRACTED FROM SCHISANDRA CHINENSIS AND ANTIOXIDANT COMPOSITION COMPRISING IT AS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT

摘要

A schisandrene extracted from Schisandra chinensis is provided to obtain a pharmaceutically useful material having an anti-oxidizing activity, thereby being used as an anti-oxidant. The anti-oxidant composition comprises schisandrene extracted from Schisandra chinensis represented by the formula(I) as a main ingredient. To obtain the schisandrene, fruits of the dried Schisandra chinensis are consecutively extracted by hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol.
