Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte battery, which shows excellent sealing characteristics of an outer casing, and has excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. The non-aqueous electrolyte battery comprises: an outer casing member(1) formed of a film and comprising a heat sealing portion; a non-aqueous electrolyte provided in the outer casing member; a cathode; an anode comprising an anode active material having a lithium ion intercalation potential of 0.4V or higher (vs. Li/Li+); a cathode terminal(7) having a front end drawn to the exterior of the outer casing member and formed of aluminum or an alloy thereof, wherein the sealing portion of the cathode terminal is disposed on the heat sealing portion; a first alumina layer formed on at least one portion of the sealing portion of the cathode terminal and having an embossed structure; an anode terminal(6) having a front end drawn to the exterior of the outer casing member and formed of aluminum or an alloy thereof, wherein the sealing portion of the anode terminal is disposed on the heat sealing portion; and a second alumina layer formed on at least one portion of the sealing portion of the anode terminal and having an embossed structure. In the battery, the cathode terminal and the anode terminal have a sectional area(S) (mm^2) ranging from 0.6Q to 2Q(wherein Q is the nominal capacity of the battery and is 1-50 Ah). |
