PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operation keys from being operated mischievously by a child. SOLUTION: This remote controller is provided with a remote controller main body 10 and a child lock mechanism 50. The child lock mechanism 50 has a protection cover 5 mounted to a casing 1 to cover the operation buttons 2, and a locking means 6 for selecting a locking means of connecting the protection cover 5 to the casing so as not to be removed and an unlocking state of unlocking the locking state. Switching operation of a locking means 6 from the locking state to the unlocking state is carried out through two steps of manual operation consisting of preliminary operation with the rotating operation of an operation knob 7 and main operation of detaching a fitting hole part 52 from the knob 7 after carrying out the preliminary operation.
