EMULSION COMPOSITION AND COSMETIC CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a cosmetic which causes minimal discoloration and separation over time and exhibits excellent stability in cosmetics containing a fat-soluble ascorbic acid derivative at a high concentration. SOLUTION: The emulsion composition includes a fat-soluble ascorbic acid derivative and a polyhydric alcohol in an amount of the polyhydric alcohol not less than 3 times as much as the fat-soluble ascorbic acid derivative by weight. The cosmetic is obtained by mixing the composition as a first agent with a composition containing water as a second agent prior to use. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
