A thin film transistor substrate and an LCD comprising the same are provided to offset the brightness levels of two sub-pixels each other, thereby preventing the flicker problem, by improving the structures of respective storage capacitors for the two-pixels. A first signal line(GL) and a second signal line(DL) cross each other. A first switching element(Qa) is electrically connected to the first and second signal lines. A first liquid crystal capacitor(CLCa) is connected to the first switching element. A first storage capacitor(CSTa) is connected to the first switching element in parallel with the first liquid crystal capacitor. A second switching element(Qb) is electrically connected to the first and second signal lines. A second liquid crystal capacitor(CLCb) is connected to the second switching element. A second storage capacitor(CSTb) is connected to the second switching element in parallel with the second liquid crystal capacitor. Each of the first and second storage capacitors includes a first terminal connected to the corresponding switching element, a second terminal facing the first terminal, and a dielectric positioned between the first and second terminals. The dielectric includes an insulating layer and a semiconductor layer. A distance between the first terminal and the semiconductor layer in the first storage capacitor is shorter than a distance between the first terminal and the semiconductor layer in the second storage capacitor.
