The method involves communicating a secondary private identifier, a primary public identifier of a client and an allotted contact address of a storage request to an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem type data storage equipment (ES) to determine if the first and second bytes have the private identifier and IRS secondary value representing the type of access network. Another storage request having the private identifier and a secondary public identifier of the second byte is communicated to the equipment to carry out their recording in correspondence to the allotted contact address. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) type data storage equipment for a communication network (2) a multimode communication terminal comprising an ISIM type card.
