PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment and radio communication method in which an audio signal can be reproduced and outputted without damaging real-time property thereof. SOLUTION: In a vehicle audio system, when both a portable audio device and a mobile phone are detected, communication with the mobile phone is established and then, transmission of audio signals to the audio device is performed. While the transmission of audio signals is performed, peripheral device detection or communication with a mobile phone which has already established communication, is not performed. If the transmission of audio signals for a predetermined unit is completed, e.g., if the transmission of audio signals for a piece of music is completed, the transmission of audio signals is stopped and then, the communication with the mobile phone is performed. Furthermore, even during the transmission of audio signals, if a predetermined request of high priority is issued from the mobile phone, the transmission of audio signals is interrupted to perform the communication with the mobile phone.
