PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular electronic control device capable of executing or not executing abnormality detection process with depending on a vehicle condition with considering magnitude of processing load and reducing the processing load. SOLUTION: The vehicular electronic control device reads out a line from an execution relation table when failure diagnosis process is started. It is determined whether the vehicle condition mentioned in the line, in an embodiment, "high engine water temperature" is established or not. If it is determined that the vehicle condition is established, object for abnormality detection of which execution is established as "X" (not execute) in the line is deleted from the abnormality detection execution relation table. After the process is executed to the last line of the execution relation table, abnormality detection process is executed based on the modified abnormality detection execution object table.
