PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling workability and to prevent sealing performance from being impaired. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner 1 comprising a main body 1A partitioned into a blower chamber 24 and a heat exchanger chamber 21 by a partitioning plate 20, a blower unit 25 mounted in the blower chamber 24, and a heat exchanger 22 fixed to the heat exchanger chamber 21 by a pair of heat exchanger fixing plates 50, 51, a heat exchanger assembly 200 is constituted by fixing the pair of heat exchanger fixing plates 50, 51 to both ends of the heat exchanger 22 in advance before being incorporated in the main body, and positioning slits 90 in inserting the heat exchanger assembly 200 to the main body 1A are respectively formed on heat insulating materials 52 on inner faces of right and left both side faces 4, 5 of the main body 1A.
