<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive small-sized stirrer capable of efficiently stirring a liquid by changing the emitting position of the sonic wave emitted to the liquid even with one vibrator and simple constitution, a stirring method, a reaction container and an analyzer equipped with the stirrer. <P>SOLUTION: The stirrer is constituted so as to stirr the liquid held in a container 7 by a sonic wave, the stirring method, the reaction container and the analyzer equipped with the stirrer are provided. The stirrer 20 is equipped with a sonic wave producing element 21 having at least one sound emitting part 21b for emitting the sonic wave and a drive circuit 22 having a control part 23 for controlling the frequency of the drive signal of the sonic wave producing element. The emitting position of the sonic wave produced by the same sound emitting part and emitted to the liquid is changed by controlling the frequency of the drive signal by the control part to stirr the liquid.
