<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver program which makes a host device execute processing for generating image data and transmitting the data to a printing device, wherein the driver program can prevent the occurrence of printing errors while suppressing deterioration in quality. <P>SOLUTION: The driver program, which makes the host device execute processing for generating compressed image data and transmitting the image data to the printing device, makes the host device execute the following steps: a step in which an accumulated amount of already transmitted data is compared with a prescribed capacity based on a capacity of a memory, which stores image data provided in the printing device in a process in which the generation and transmission of the image data are executed in a prescribed range; and a step in which a command for invalidating the already transmitted image data is transmitted when the accumulated amount is not less than the prescribed capacity as the result of the comparison, then the image data is regenerated by compression with a higher compression rate, and the image data is re-transmitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
