FIELD: aerospace and oil-and-gas producing industries and power engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for compression of gaseous media and aggressive gases. Compressor drive mechanism consists of drive wheel made in from of axial cylinders, larger wheels being furnished with rim of trapezoidal shape. Drive wheel is connected with pistons by means of guides provided with heads from side of pistons and with guide slot from side of drive wheel. Proposed device has small mass, and overall dimensions and small number of movable parts owing to use of rodless mechanism with round links. ^ EFFECT: increased power of compressor per mass unit, reduced overall dimensions.
