For fixing the winding of an electric machine, specifically a turbogenerator, in slots of the magnetic core of the stator, oppositely arranged wedges are used. One of the wedges in the stator slot is an internal one and is installed in the slot of the external wedge. The slot is arranges at the surface of the wedge that faces the winding. The contacting surfaces of the wedges have spherical shape, so the internal wedge can turn relative to the external wedge and be arranged in parallel to the surface of the winding bar. The proposed design provides a possibility to enhance the reliability in fixing the winding and increase the service life of the winding. |
