An LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to sufficiently fill an outer region of an LCD panel with liquid crystals, by disposing more column spacers in the outer region than a center region of the LCD panel. A plurality of pixels are defined on first and second substrates(103,105). A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first and second substrates. Column spacers(130) are configured to maintain a cell gap between the first and second substrates. A density of column spacer in a center region(C) of an LCD panel is higher than a density of column spacer in an outer region(E) of the LCD panel. The column spacer is capable of having a circle shape. |
