<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductor composition and a proton-conductive composite membrane which each has sufficiently high proton conductivity even in high temperature regions above 100°C. <P>SOLUTION: This proton conductive membrane is obtained by adding a quinone compound to a sulfonic group-having polyarylene, and improves the water retainability of an electrolytic membrane, and a power-generating performance at high temperature. The quinone compound is preferably contained in an amount of 0.01 to 10 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of the sulfonic group-having polyarylene. The quinone compound is preferably one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of benzoquinone, naphthoquinone, anthraquinone, chrysenequinone and their derivatives. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
