PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a material for a moving force transmitting means, and to improve the fitting easiness thereof. SOLUTION: This seat slide device comprises a screw shaft 13 screwed into a nut member 15 fixed to a fixed rail 2 and driven by a motor 10 to rotate and move in the longitudinal direction of the fixed rail 2, a coupling pin 16 making a moving rail 3 move following the screw shaft 13, and a load receiving means 17 receiving a load in a slide direction working on the moving rail 3. The load receiving means 17 is composed of a shaft side stopper 20 fixed to the screw shaft 13, and a rail side stopper 21 fixed to the moving rail 3. The rail side stopper 21 is integrally provided with a pair of stopper plates 21a, 21b disposed on both sides of the shaft side stopper 20 by a coupling portion 21c. Insertion grooves 21d, 21e opening on a fitting direction side to the moving rail 3 and in which the screw shaft 13 is inserted are formed on the stopper plate portions 21a, 21b, respectively.
