<p>The invention relates to a photoelectric barrier (10) for monitoring the movement of a gate (30, 32) for grounds or a building, especially for a door drive (17). Said photoelectric barrier (10) comprises a transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX), the transmitter (TX) being embodied so as to transmit an oscillating light beam (22) to the receiver (RX). In order to create a photoelectric barrier that has a simple design while being easy to mount, inexpensive, and functionally reliable, the transmitter (TX) and the receiver (RX) are connected in parallel to a supply voltage (U+) in such a way that the receiver imposes on the supply voltage a signal which oscillates in accordance with the light beam when the receiver receives the oscillating light beam.</p> |
