An electro luminescence element and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to implement an electro luminescence element for a double luminescence display by driving a light emission unit formed on an upper plane unit and a lower plane unit. An electro luminescence element includes a first substrate(100), a second substrate(200), a driving unit, a first light emission unit, a second light emission unit(220), and an electrode(210). The first and second substrates(100,200) are arranged to be opposite, and have a plurality of pixel regions. The driving unit includes a switching element formed on each pixel region of the first substrate(100), and a driving element connected to the switching element. The first light emission unit is electrically connected to the driving element. The second light emission unit(220) is formed on the second substrate. A connection electrode(210) is formed on any one of the first and second substrates(100,200). The electrode(210) connects the driving element to the second light emission unit(220) electrically. The first and second substrates(100,220) are adhered by a sealant. |
