A pulse generator of a life span expansion apparatus of a rechargeable battery is provided to remove a design limitation element of battery life span expansion apparatus by switching in a high frequency. A source of a MOSFET switch(30) is grounded. A gate is connected to a PWM pulse signal output of a control unit(50). A drain is connected to a secondary side of a transformer and a diode. A first electrode of the transformer(10-1,10-2) is commonly connected to diode and battery terminals. A secondary side of the transformer(10-1,10-2) is commonly connected to a drain and a diode of the switch. A first side contactless electrode of the transformer is commonly connected to a second side contactless electrode of the transformer. A side of a capacitor(40) is connected to the second side contactless electrode of the transformer. The other side of the capacitor(40) is commonly grounded with the source of the switch. A control unit(50) outputs a switching PWM pulse signal to a gate of the switch. A poly switch PTC element for over-current protection(60) is connected between the battery terminal and the first side electrode of the transformer.
