PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus using electron emitting devices embodying preferable image display. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus has: a plurality of the electron emitting devices; a plurality of light emission regions which are arranged apart at spaced intervals from the corresponding electron emission devices and respectively emit light by being irradiated with the electrons emitted from the corresponding electron emission devices; and a driving circuit which outputs a driving signal for driving the electron emission devices. The driving circuit has a correction circuit for correcting an input signal. The driving circuit outputs the driving signal corrected so as to be made smaller than the driving signal to be output when there is no increase in the amount of light emission as the driving signal obtained by correcting the input signal corresponding to the prescribed electron emitting device when there is an increase in the amount of light emission corresponding to the prescribed electron emitting device due to the electrons emitted by the electron emitting device in proximity to the prescribed electron emitting device.
