<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a method and an apparatus for controlling a linear motor wherein a commutation angle shift can be appropriately corrected both in initial state and in positioning control state. <P>SOLUTION: The control method for linear motors is such that: a slider moves along a base core disposed in parallel with a linear scale; using the linear scale, the position of the slider is detected; and based on the detected potion, the motor for moving the slider is subjected to commutation control and positioning control. The control method includes: an off-line measurement step at which the amount of the commutation angle shift of the slider in a commutation alignment position is zeroed and the amount of the commutation angle shift of the slider in position is measured and stored as a parameter; a commutation angle shift computation step at which a correction value for the amount of commutation angle shift in the relevant position is computed based on the parameter and information on the position of the slider; and a commutation angle shift correction step at which the commutation angle is corrected based on the computed amount of commutation angle shift. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
