A sealing device of a vertical molding machine is provided to prevent molding sand from being stuck on the surfaces of a bed and a mold by sealing a gap between the bed and a large pressure plate by a sealing part installed at the lower side of the large pressure plate. The sealing device of a vertical molding machine is composed of a die separated into two and provided with an uneven part formed on separated surfaces correspondently to a mold; a compression plate combined to the front die and moved back and forth by connecting a cylinder to the opposite side of the die; a large pressure plate(30) positioned at the rear side of the die to support the die, and moved rearward in parallel and then rotated upward to discharge the molds; a bed(60) formed like a flat plate and positioned at the lower side of the compression plate and the large pressure plate; and a sealing part(50) comprising a rectangular parallelepiped body(52) having a through-groove(54) vertically formed in a longitudinal direction and an air supply port(58) supplying the compressed air to the through-groove, a sealing tube(56) combined to the through-groove of the body, connected to the air supply port, and expanded by the compressed air flowing in through the air supply port and protruded to the lower side of the through-groove, and a compressed air supply unit feeding the compressed air to the air supply port. The sealing part is horizontally installed at the lower side of the large pressure plate and expanded by the compressed air fed from the outside in injecting the molding sand into a space between the dies to prevent the molding sand from leaking to the rear side by blocking a space between the lower side of the large pressure plate and the bed. |
