COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING INHIBITOR OF IPLA2 FOR TREATING FATTY LIVER DISEASE, AND METHODS OF SCREENING THEREOF

Compositions for treating fatty liver disease containing an inhibitor of iPLA2(Ca^2+-independent phospholipase A2), and methods of screening thereof are provided to treat fatty liver disease and other lipoapoptosis relating to disease caused by LPC(lysophosphatidylcholine) produced by iPLA2 beta. The composition for treating fatty liver disease and other lipoapoptosis relating to disease contains the inhibitor of iPLA2beta, wherein the fatty liver disease is a nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD); the inhibitor of iPLA2beta is selected from PACOCF3(palmitoyl trifluoromethyl ketone), BEL(bromoenol lactone) and pertusis toxin; and the inhibitor of iPLA2beta is iPLA2beta siRNA(short interfering RNA). A polynucleotide encoding iPLA2beta for treating diseases by fatty liver disease or other lipoapoptosis is provided. An antibody specific to iPLA2beta for treating diseases by fatty liver disease or other lipoapoptosis is provided. A diagnostic kit of fatty liver disease or other lipoapoptosis relating to disease contains the polynucleotide encoding iPLA2beta, iPLA2beta protein or the antibody specific to iPLA2beta.
