<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC adaptor that can be used in connection with the main unit of electronic equipment through a DC cable and in a state of as is housed in the battery housing portion of the main unit of the electronic equipment and the electronic equipment, wherein when the AC adaptor is used externally to the main unit of the electronic equipment, the user's safety can be ensured and a terminal can be protected. <P>SOLUTION: The AC adaptor 3 is so formed that it can be housed in the battery housing portion 11. This AC adaptor includes a terminal 31 for connection with the main unit, a terminal for connection with a DC cable, and a movable cover member 33 for protecting the terminal 31 for the main unit connection and the terminal for DC cable connection.
