PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device capable of detecting saturation without adversely affecting operation of a power supply circuit. SOLUTION: The power supply device comprises the power supply circuit 1 formed of an operational amplifier 2, a transistor 3, and a feedback circuit 4, a saturation detecting circuit 5 for detecting the saturation of the power supply circuit 1, and a subtracting circuit 6 for subtracting output voltage of the saturation detecting circuit 5 from control voltage for controlling power supply circuit 1 and providing the subtracted voltage as input voltage to the power supply circuit 1. The power supply circuit 1 outputs voltage according to the voltage from the subtracting circuit 6. When the power supply circuit 1 is saturated, the output voltage of the saturation detecting circuit 5 is subtracted from the control voltage for controlling output voltage of the power supply circuit 1, and the voltage outputted to the power supply circuit 1 is decreased, thereby preventing saturation of the power supply circuit 1.
