<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display apparatus that can effectively use light exiting from a light source and achieve a bright display or a display with low consumed power. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight unit 20 is composed of three light sources 21a to 21c (having R, G, B emission colors, respectively) and a light guide plate 22. The light guide plate 22 has a projection 23 on the bottom which reflects the irradiation light from the light sources 21a to 21c on different inclined faces of the projection 23 and guides the light to enter the corresponding pixels in a liquid crystal panel 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
