PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which is durable, shortens warmup time and excellently fixes a toner on transfer material. SOLUTION: The fixing device 1 fixes a toner image on the transfer material P by making the transfer material P pass through a nip part N being a press-contact part between a fixing roller 2 and a pressure member 3 which are paired. Then, the device 1 has a heat source 4, an endless belt 5 surrounding the heat source 4, and a guide member 6 and a tension roller 7 for supporting the belt 5 as constitution to heat the peripheral surface of the fixing roller 2. The guide member 6 is composed of material good in heat conductivity and functions as a member to bring the belt 5 into contact with the peripheral surface of the fixing roller 2.
