METHOD FOR PROVIDING AND USING INFORMATION ON INTERLAYER PREDICTION OF A VIDEO SIGNAL

A method for providing and using information on the interlayer prediction of a video signal is provided to transmit the information on the limitation of the prediction between layers through a prediction coded layer. A de-multiplexer(15) separates a compressed motion vector stream and a compressed macro block information stream from a received data stream. A texture decoding member(12) restores the compressed macro block stream into the original non-compression state. A motion decoding member(13) restores the compressed motion vector stream into the original non-compression state. An enhanced layer decoder(11) inversely converts the decompressed macro block information stream and motion vector stream into the orignal video signals according to an MCTF(Motion Compensated Temporal Filter) manner.
