PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce non-zero resonance response signals in the range that is selected by excitation. SOLUTION: The device includes at least one probe that generates a uniform magnetic field over a selected range and has a given maximum section size, a means of applying excitation to at least one probe for exciting nuclear quadrupole resonance a range that is selected by a distance from one probe to a sample probe and at least one tenth of a distance the given maximum size of the probe, and a signal for detecting a resonance response signal from the sample to the probe via one of the probes.
