PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric position adjustment type steering column device capable of smoothly operating a rod drive mechanism retained on an actuator body. SOLUTION: A large number of projections 133 like serration as a first deformation part are formed on an outer peripheral surface along an axial direction on a shaft part 125 of a gear shaft 109 thread-engaged with an actuator rod 115. Whereas, a large number of radial projections 135 as a second deformation part are formed on a side surface of a driven gear part 121. Further, a streak of lubricant retaining groove 137 is formed on the shaft part 125 along an axial direction in the form that a female screw 111 is partially notched and a lubricant such as silicone grease is retained in the lubricant retaining groove 137.
