A printing method for a network printer is provided to enable a user to easily access and output desired information in the network printer including an HDD(Hard Disk Drive) without support of a computer. When a host and the printer are connected by the network, a font changing command is transferred to the printer together with printing data(100). It is checked whether font information corresponding to the font changing command is installed to the printer. If the corresponding font information is not installed to the printer, the font information is provided from a web server connected by the network. The font of the printing data is changed by the provided font information(102). The printing data applying for the changed font is printed(104).
