PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high base number calcium sulfonate cleaner exhibiting the decrease of viscosity change, the improvement of stability, and the improvement of catalytic oxidation. SOLUTION: This high base number calcium sulfonate cleaner having a total soap/BN ratio of 0.0530 to 0.0585 and a total base number of >350 mg KOH/g, when measured according to ASTM D 2896-98.
